Usability Lab - Evaluating Interaction Design
Human-Computer Interaction Group,
University of Konstanz
|
 |
The Usability Lab provides an environment for the evaluation of our interaction designs and visualization techniques. It is equipped with high-end testing equipment including a Seeingmachines faceLAB eyetracking system and the Noldus Observer software. Besides, since it is more and more important to adress the context and go into the field the lab hosts our equipment for mobile usability tests as well (e.g. wireless cameras, a head-mounted eyetracker). Furthermore, we also use our main lab, the Media Room, as an evaluation environment - for focus groups, controlled experiments of novel input devices, and as a living lab in the context of the MedioVis 2.0 project.
Main Project: The
eLmuse project is concerned with longitudinal approaches to usability evaluation. The Usability Lab provides the perfect environment to analyze different methodological approaches and establish a common understanding of longitudinal evaluation methods.
