The students will get a comprehensive overview of aims and research topics in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. They will achieve a basical understanding of developing interactive products while taking user and task requirements in account. Aim of this development process is the design of usable products, that enhance the joy of use. Therefore, basic design principals, methods and tools are presented and intensified in practical exercises. Because of the course's character as basic course only an overview can be given of the comprehensive and strong interdisciplinary field of Human-Computer Interaction (connected to computer science, design, psychology, ergonomics, education science etc.). Interested students get the possibility to intensify their studies by visiting continuative courses like Usability Engineering Design and Evaluation or Visual Seeking Systems.

Prof. Preim (Uni Magdeburg) hält im Rahmen der Vorlesung am 29.04.2010 in C252 um 10.00 einen Vortrag über "HCI in der medizinischen Visualisierung".

Exam: Written exam with a duration of 120min.
Successful participation on the exercises is precondition for participation in the exam.

The exam defines the final score.

Exam dates:
15.07.2010 10.00-12.00 C252
23.09.2010 10-00-12.00 C252
