Our goal is to develop new concepts to support the interaction between humans and computers that accommodate the characteristics of human interaction and cognition as well as the latest technological developments. We call this novel blending of forms of reality-based interaction and communication with the technological opportunities Blended Interaction.
This year's "Mensch und Computer" was themed under the slogan "Neue Digitale Realitäten" (New Digital Realities) and took place in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It was the most visited MuC so far with almost 1000 attendees. For the first time, accepted submissions were also published in the ACM Digital Library. Our group was represented by two full papers.
Museum visitors become users: The exhibition ‘ARCHÄOLOGIE IN BADEN’ breaks new ground in interactive mediation. Depending on interest, the user can access the museum holdings - interactively, multimedia and in direct contact with the exhibit. A scientist, the “explainer”, presents original objects. The aura becomes immediately perceptible.
‘ARCHÄOLOGIE IN BADEN’ is the pilot project for the new museum concept of the Badisches Landesmuseum. The exhibition was created in cooperation with the HTWG...
